This year, Ms. Fox and Ms. Moskowitz’s Yellow Cluster students are participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project to spread awareness for children who have food allergies.

Food Allergy and Research Education started the Teal Pumpkin Project several years ago to keep children with food allergies safe while they trick or treat on Halloween. All participants have to do is paint a pumpkin teal and place it outside of their home or apartment. This is a way to show there are non-food treats available for those children who have allergies.

Students in Ms. Fox and Ms. Moskowitz’s class participated in the project by painting mini pumpkins teal and brainstorming ideas for non-food treats to have at their homes on Halloween. Students will place the teal pumpkins outside their homes and apartments to show that there is a non-food treat available for those children who have allergies.
