The Stephen Gaynor School Difference:
Unlocking Each Student’s Potential
The guiding principle of Stephen Gaynor School is to provide a nurturing environment in which children with a range of learning differences, from Attention Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to speech, language, and reading delays such as dyslexia, can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Stephen Gaynor School students have a strong cognitive profile but often have difficulty with the acquisition of reading and writing skills. Our highly trained and dedicated teachers, specialists, and administrators create a climate of caring where students feel comfortable taking academic risks, secure in the knowledge that their educational journey is accompanied by success.
Stephen Gaynor School’s faculty and administration strive to develop self-confident, self-aware learners who can advocate for their own needs and have respect for themselves and others. Students leave Gaynor with a rich fund of knowledge, confidence and pride in their achievements, and strategies that will sustain them for a lifetime.
