On March 16, 2026, the Gaynor community came together for an unforgettable evening at the 2026 Gala, One Night, Many Stories. Held at Pier Sixty, a longtime favorite and one of the city’s most elegant waterfront venues, the return to this special setting made the night feel all the more meaningful.
At Stephen Gaynor School, every day offers an opportunity to celebrate and support the 1 in 5 people in our country who have learning or attentional challenges. Our goal is to build understanding, strengthen confidence, and empower students who learn differently to become leaders in their own learning and beyond.
On February 11, members of the Gaynor community gathered for Breakfast My Way, honoring Black History Month. The breakfast was hosted by LaTanya Phelps, mother of Ridwan in the Yellow Cluster, with soul food provided by Melba’s Restaurant.
At Stephen Gaynor School, students with learning differences develop essential academic and critical thinking skills through individualized and evidence-based approaches, empowering them to reach their full potential. Students learn to advocate for themselves and others while actively building an inclusive community, a sense of belonging, and a belief in their own possibilities.
