Beyond the Classroom: Honing Student Executive Functioning Skills

In January, the Blue Cluster introduced an executive functioning after school class to provide more explicit support for students who have executive function challenges. Executive functions are a set of processes that have to do with managing oneself and one’s resources in order to achieve a goal, and this class helps by providing more explicit instruction, ongoing support, and practice for students who need it.

Insta-Famous: The #GatorGram Reading Challenge is Complete

Gaynor students “went viral” during this year’s Reading Challenge. The theme of this year’s challenge was “#gaynorgram,” a take on the photo sharing platform, Instagram. Students were tasked to fill out a “gaynorgram” slip for every book they read or listened to during the weeks of the Reading Challenge, and then “post” their slip(s) on the bigger-than-life iPhone located in the North Building lobby.

Learning about Eid al-Fitr in the Green Cluster

Gaynor’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion curriculum is divided into four different categories, also known as bands, for classes to work on throughout the year.
