“Snow” Much Talent at the 2023 Winter Concerts!

Picture this: Parents chatting quietly as they take their seats in Gaynor’s Performing Arts Center, facing the closed curtain. There is a feeling of anticipation in the air; the Winter Concert is about to begin!

Each year, the Winter Concerts group Clusters together to perform. The Pink, Red, and Yellow Clusters held the first concert, and the Orange and Silver Clusters held the second concert. This year’s winter concerts centered around a theme of belonging and kindness, as students sang uplifting songs about the importance of finding your voice, and also the happiness that comes from being part of a community. The Pink, Red, and Yellow Clusters brought the house down with their ending performance of “We are the World,” as they invited the audience to join them in singing the final chorus. The Orange and Silver Clusters closed out their concert with “Better When I’m Dancing,” which had everyone moving and grooving. The performance featured a group of Silver Cluster students strumming the ukulele in harmony with their peers.

A big thank you to Music Specialists Michael Piedmont and Abby Shuppy, and Drama Specialist Meredith Akins for their hard work and excellence in leading the students through many months of practice before these incredible shows. Additionally, shout-out to Photography Teacher Tim Jalbert for lending his talents on the drums.
