Gaynor Goes Apple Picking

Posted on Monday, October 2nd, 2017

On Friday, September 28, Gators traveled to Demarest Farms in New Jersey for the school’s annual apple picking trip. After an afternoon spent exploring the orchards and the pumpkin patch, students returned to Gaynor with hundreds of apples they picked alongside their classmates, teachers, and staff. We talked to students in different clusters who shared what they liked most about the day!

Apple Picking is an opportunity to make new friends.” – Eliza

“At my old school we didn’t have anything like this. I am so happy I got to go with my Gaynor friends!” – Yma

“The trip was the apple of my eye.” – Stella

“Apple Picking is a great opportunity to go outside with your friends.” – Sam

“My favorite part was hoping for Golden Delicious apples, finding the right row, and then the trees being empty. My friends and I thought it was so funny!” – Graham

As is Gaynor tradition, students picked out a pumpkin to bring back to school, which has been displayed in the lobby.
Until next time!
