Spreading the Love at Day of Service
On January 29, over 400 members of the Stephen Gaynor School community gathered in the Performing Arts Center for the second-ever in person Day of Service. Students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff created over 1,000 greeting cards for the clients of God’s Love We Deliver.

Gaynor Students Celebrate Dr. King’s Legacy
Monday, January 16 was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and students across all divisions spent time learning about Dr. King’s philosophy and teaching, important speeches, and his impact on the civil rights movement. The students also discussed their personal connections to his words, and how they can continue to spread his ideas throughout their community.
Teaching Collaboratively: The Co-Lead Teacher Model
Last year, a new classroom paradigm was piloted in a select few classrooms at Gaynor, and as of January 2023, Gaynor has four classrooms using the Co-Lead Teacher Model. The Co-Lead Teacher Model involves two experienced teachers working together in the same classroom. They plan lessons together and teach together to support the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of their students.

Despite completing her undergraduate degree in administration of justice, she pivoted to work in education as a more proactive way to support children.
