LD Advocacy Fair

LD Advocacy Fair

Join us on Sunday, October 26, 2025 as we present the LD Advocacy Fair in partnership with NCLD (National Center for Learning Disabilities) to honor Learning Difference Awareness Month.

Students, faculty/staff, families, friends, partners, and the broader community are invited to participate, learn, and engage on important policy issues impacting people with learning differences. This Advocacy Fair will feature informational booths and provide attendees with with the tools to directly contact members of Congress, focusing on key legislation, including the IDEA Full Funding Act and the RISE Act. This is a direct way for attendees to make their voices heard on behalf of the neurodiverse community.

Featuring an Advocacy Center where participants can:

  • See our Advocacy Program in action through interactive stations designed by our Blue Cluster students
  • Learn about current policies
  • Send postcards to members of Congress in support of important policy issues
  • Share their experiences in self-advocacy and navigating the world with learning differences
  • Hear from lawmakers about current policies on a state and national level that impact students with learning differences
