Orange Cluster Students Get Cirrus About Weather

Orange Cluster students in Science Teacher Lindsey Rappaport’s class became meteorologists this week as part of a greenscreen augmented reality project.

Ms. Rappaport’s students have been learning all about weather and climate recently, and they decided to put their new knowledge to the test. They created their own meteorologist reports on their “dream weather.”

Students wrote their own scripts, illustrated their own backgrounds, and then filmed their reports on the greenscreen.

When the projects were completed, they were able to watch their weather reports come to life using an augmented reality app called Thyng.
