Learning Through Service: Faces in Between

Posted on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019

Students in the Green Cluster recently attended a special presentation led by Danielle Levin, the founder of Faces In Between. Faces in Between is a non-profit organization devoted to providing support and resources to individuals who face homelessness in NYC. Our students had the opportunity to attend a presentation to learn more about the organization and the importance of accepting others who may have a different story than themselves. After the presentation, the students wrote cards with words of inspiration and empathy which will be distributed to individuals who are homeless by the organization.

According to a post on the Faces in Between Facebook page, “We are so moved by the cards that the [Stephen Gaynor School] students made with love and compassion for our NYC neighbors experiencing homelessness.”
