Every class at Stephen Gaynor School is partnered with a buddy class in another cluster. This allows students of all ages to interact with one another. Ms. Bermel and Ms. Shaw’s Silver Cluster class is paired with Ms. Rothbart and Ms. Belgrave’s class in the Pink Cluster.
This week, the students had a fun project to work on together. Ms. Bermel said, “We are lucky enough to meet with our buddies every week. During this time we do a variety of activities from reading together, enjoying different stations set up in the classroom, cooking or creating a craft. This week, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, the buddy pairs made turkey puppets out of paper bags. Each student’s puppet included a message saying for whom or what they were thankful. We look forward to our time together each week and the chance for the older students in 601 to act as role-models!”
