We serve children with average to above-average intelligence who have language-based learning differences.
We serve children ages 3 to 14 in our Early Childhood Center, Lower School, and Middle School.
We have a rolling admissions policy and accept applications throughout the academic year for September enrollment.
Tours of the school are available by appointment only. Please contact the admissions office beginning in mid-September at 212-787-7070, ext. 103. We do not hold open houses.
Our class size is limited to 10 students in our Early Childhood Center and to 11 in our Lower and Middle schools. Each class includes a head teacher and assistant teacher. In the Early Childhood Center, a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist are also present in the classroom.
Students have access to a range of specialists including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, reading specialists, math specialists, and an adaptive physical education teacher. Specialists provide support in and out of the classrooms during the school day.
We have a part-time psychologist who works with students as needed to facilitate positive social skills. Our psychologist also offers guidance groups for parents.
Financial aid is available to qualified families. We work with School and Student Service for Financial Aid, an agency that works with many of New York City’s independent schools.
We follow the New York City independent school calendar. Click on Academic Year Calendar to access our calendar online.
We offer an afterschool program for an extra fee Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A wide range of activities including cooking, sports, arts and crafts, and study hall are available.
