The Stephen Gaynor School Afterschool Program enriches students’ lives with a broad variety of activities - from sports and scientific exploration to choir and community service - that keep them motivated and engaged after the regular school day ends. Led by Afterschool Director John Beich, the program offers exciting new activities every year and enables students to learn and have fun while building self-awareness, self-control, and responsibility.
In fall 2012, the Afterschool Program offers the following activities and classes:
Experienced, skilled athletes older than 10 can now participate in competitive teams including boys and girls basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball. Students will compete in games against other private schools. All students will play in games, although playing time will be determined by skill, experience, and game situations. Varsity practices begin at 4 p.m., and students who participate must be enrolled in an activity, tutoring, or afterschool class from 3 to 4 p.m. If you are interested in this program, please contact Coach James at jmelillo@stephengaynor.org.
